Spin Magazine: Full Page Ad

Spin Magazine is a community magazine targeted at wheelchair users in Vancouver. We work closely with them and wanted to create a fun contest to introduce readers to our services! One of the major challenges in this project was fitting all the information in the brief on the page in a way that presented it clearly and didn’t appear cluttered. To ensure readers were drawn to the most important parts of the ad I adjusted font size and employed fun visuals like text bubbles.

When I discussed this project with the CEO of Chair Stuff, he made it clear that his main goal vis-a-vis the website was to create an educational platform for people who are going through a difficult life change. We achieved this tone by creating a variety of educational tools meant to meet people where they’re at and providing links to community resources to ensure people don’t feel alone during this huge transition.
